For Sophie, home is anything but static. An abstract artist, content creator, and mum to two young, energetic boys, she’s built a space that moves and shifts as easily as family life does — minimalist and modern at its core, but always alive with warmth.
When it came to the finishes, Sophie’s artist’s eye led the way — and she found exactly what she was looking for in Terra-ARISE, the collaborative collection between Nexen and Wallhub. “The texture — I really like the chalky matte finish, it looks really natural,” she explains. “And the colour is soft and gentle, and it blends beautifully with my other fixtures.”
What makes Terra-ARISE Collection special is how naturally the two elements sit together. Against the soft, tactile Sea Salt lime wash wall, Sophie’s power track in Cherry brings a warm, grounding tone that echoes her laminates. “In fact, the colours are actually quite close,” she notes — the kind of quiet cohesion that only comes from finishes designed to work as one.
But in a home shared with two boys, beauty alone was never going to be enough. Sophie’s space is one of constant reinvention, and she needed it to keep up.
“A table can be a craft station one moment, and the next it’s my laptop workspace,” she says. “Having the Nexen Power Track helps big time in keeping the space neat when I don’t need the power. I don’t have to take out all the wires and cables or extension cords when I need to charge more things.”
That flexibility is exactly what drew her to the system in the first place.
“I really like the functionality of the power tracks. It gives me complete freedom to add any adapters along the track. When I need more power, I can just add adapters on. And when I’m not using anything, I can keep it clean, neat, and tidy.”
