Some homes are curated. Faz’s home is lived in — in the best possible way. A self-described “chaos coordinator”, Faz has called this place home for almost five years, and rather than looking for the exit, she’s spent that time making it better.

“For most Singaporeans, I think at the five-year mark, you want to move to somewhere else,” she says. “But for us, I think we wanted to make this home even better. So Nexen Power Tracks have actually helped that.”
For Faz, the appeal to integrate Nexen into their home started with something she didn’t even realise was possible.
For Faz, the appeal to integrate Nexen into their home started with something she didn’t even realise was possible.
“The fact that a kid cannot put his finger in a power socket is so important to me.”
That flexibility for the placement of horizontal or vertical tracks turned out to be more than a novelty for her family. With a young child at home, the ability to decide exactly where power lived in the space became a matter of both convenience and peace of mind. “For us, I think we prioritise accessibility and I guess also safety with a small child,” she explains.
Safety, in particular, is non-negotiable.
Beyond family life, Faz’s home also doubles as a workspace. As an Editor and content creator, her setup demands power that keeps up with her. “I do a lot of tech content, so that means all my devices need to be charged all the time,” she says. “And if there’s any point in time I need to switch scenes — and you know how people are very fickle on the internet — I can just pick up an adapter and move it to the next available power track.”
It’s the kind of everyday flexibility that most people don’t know they’re missing until they have it.
But perhaps the most unique aspect about her home is the colour. Where many spaces default to all-white and all-beige, hers is unapologetically vibrant — so much so that even the installation team did a double take.
“It’s funny, when the Nexen team came to set it up, the guy was looking and he’s like, ‘Huh, all different colours?'” she laughs. “And I guess it’s not something that people do all the time. For me, colours reflect personality. I know a lot of design spaces choose to have all white and all beige — and again, it depends on you — but for me, I feel like colour brings life. You should live your life with as much colour as possible, figuratively and literally.”
That philosophy is exactly where form and function meet for her and her family’s needs — and why Nexen fits so naturally into a home as colourful as hers.
